PRODUCTS GUARANTEED TO GALVANISE THE INTEREST OF MG OWNERS

British Motor Heritage (BMH) has further extended its well-received range of galvanised replacement fuel tanks.
The first is for the MG RV8 and comes complete with all the piping required for that model’s evaporative loss system. The tank, part number ZKC5014, has been unavailable for some time but, following a sourcing exercise, is now back in production and priced at £325, including VAT; exactly the same figure as when it was last on sale.
The second product is specifically aimed at anyone fitting a Webcon fuel injection system to their MGB. Part number HMP113206 comes complete with an internal swirl pot (as used in the RV8 tank), and is available at a retail price of £250, including VAT. Fitting this item obviates the need for a separate swirl pot and therefore makes the whole fuel injection installation neater and less obtrusive.
These long-lasting new tanks are made to the original specification on the original press tools, jigs and roller welder, and it is the recent major refurbishment of the latter – the machine that creates the all-important seal for the main body of the tank – that has allowed BMH to make the milestone move from un-plated steel to the infinitely more corrosion-resistant galvanised stock for these replacement items. A lack of corrosion resistance is the Achilles heel of most classic vehicle fuel tanks. The use of galvanised steel eliminates such problems entirely and is therefore a major product improvement.
The new products are available now via BMH’s global dealer network, full details of which are available at www.bmh-ltd.com.
