Formula 1 collectors who missed out on the chance to win one of the lots in the Zoom charity auction can still take home a souvenir of the auction following the launch of a series of limited edition prints and the official book of the initiative.
Zoom is a unique concept that has never been done before in F1 or in any other sport. The drivers and team principals of every F1 team were asked to take a photograph of their chosen subject and those images were auctioned by Coys (www.coys.co.uk) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (www.gosh.org) online and at a star-studded event at the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour (www.wyndhamgrandlondon.co.uk) in September.
The official book of the project, Zoom: Through the Eyes of Formula 1, is published by Dennis Publishing and will be released later this month. At 104 pages long, the book contains all the photographs taken for the auction and the stories behind them in the words of the drivers, team principals and other F1 personalities who took part. The standard edition will retail at £20.00, but for the most discerning F1 collectors there is also a limited edition of just 250 copies, with a leather cover and slipcase, priced at £75.00.
Dennis Publishing is one of the world’s fastest-growing independently owned media companies. The company publishes over 70 magazines, digital magazines, Magbooks, websites, apps and mobile sites in the UK (including Auto Express, Octane, The Week, PC Pro, Viz and Men’s Fitness) and The Week in the US.
In addition to the official book of the event, Memento Exclusives is offering a limited edition run of 50 prints for each of the images from the auction. The prints are framed in an A4 brushed aluminium frame and come complete with a certificate of authenticity and limited edition print number.
Memento Exclusives is a leading sports memorabilia and merchandise company and has a strong relationship with leading Formula 1 teams including Lotus Renault GP, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Force India, as well as brands from Red Bull to Johnnie Walker. Memento offers a selection of unique products including its exclusives – memorabilia created from limited edition sport and raced used materials. This has seen Memento cut up a Formula 1 car into 1,000 parts to make gifts for the team’s most loyal fans.
Through the Eyes of Formula 1 will be available at all good book shop from the end of October, priced £20.
