21-MILE ‘TOUR D’ELÉGANCE’ TO OPEN SALON PRIVÉ LONDON 2012

Salon Privé is proud to announce the inaugural Tour d’Elégance to open London’s flagship Super Car Show and Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance in 2012. In association with The Royal Automobile Club, the 21-mile tour will commence from Woodcote Park in Epsom on Wednesday 5th September. A stunning collection of 31 cars and motorbikes from the Concours will take the journey north, through Epsom Racecourse and Richmond Park to Syon House in West London, and the official opening of Salon Privé 2012.
The Tour will be led by Jay Kay, frontman of Jamiroquai, with Lord Percy in the passenger seat. The pair will be in the 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volanté belonging to Jay Kay himself.
Spectators are invited to watch the tour from key locations along the route, including:
10.00 Fir Tree Road, Epson, KT17
10.15 Pembroke Lodge car park, Richmond Park, TW10
10.30Richmond Bridge, TW9
11.00Syon House, TW7 6AZ
The full Tour d’Elégance line-up is made of 31 fantastic and iconic motors, including no less than seven Ferrari F40s, a 1965 Lamborghini 350 GT, a 1962 Jaguar E Type, a 1967 Corvette, a 1960 Maserati 3500GT Spyder and many others from the last several decades.
Salon Privé Super Car Show and Concours d’Elégance will officially open for three days from 5th – 7th September.
